Many of you have asked for more detailed information about travel and lodging in Santa Fe.

Santa Fe is a destination city full of color, art and tradition. Its downtown plaza is the heart of the city with hotels, B&B, fine shops, galleries and restaurants all within walking distance of one another.

Classes are most often held at our home 91 Moya Road, Santa Fe, 8 miles (15 mins.) from down town Santa Fe,
therefore a car is required. I recommend you rent your car at the airport. (Taxi service not economical!!)
The OLD PECOS TRAIL INN is the closest to us, mid-way between town and our community called Eldorado.

LODGING: Varies from season to season. Most hotels consider High Season May-Oct.,Winter Season Nov-Jan, Spring Season Feb-April.
Prices are higher near the plaza but the accommodations are very elegant. My favorites are Hotel St. Francis, Hotel Santa Fe and the Inn of the Turquoise Bear.

Mid-range options along Cerrillos Road and away from the plaza would also require a car.
Some ideas are: Santa Fe Sage Inn, The El Rey Inn, Old Pecos Trail Inn, Santa Fe Suites and the Courtyard by Marriott.

TRAVEL: If you plan on driving from your home, Google Map Santa Fe.
Air travel via ABQ International Airport, 1 hour south of Santa Fe.
Car rental and Sandia Shuttle Express are there at the baggage claim area.

FOOD: Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Sunflower Farmers Market, all with great take out options.

Most students bring lunch to classes however there are restaurant and grocery options near our home in Eldorado.

Santa Fe is known for its great restaurants. Local favorites are: Guadalupe Cafe, The Shed, Upper Crust Pizza, Blue Corn Cafe, La Choza, Pink Adobe, Andiamo, Pasquals, Pranzo Italian Grill and Harry's Road House.
